Canada is pleased to extend an offer to host the next interim WG2 meeting in the fall of 2005 in Toronto, Ontario.

The meeting would be held at the international headquarters of Manulife Financial Corporation in Toronto,

and would be sponsored by John Hancock Financial Services, a subsidiary of Manulife Financial.

Because of other commitments at this time of year there is limited availability of space to accommodate a group the size of WG2.

We are able to offer the following dates to choose from:

(1) Sep 26-30, 2005 - 5 days in a very nice room

(2) Oct 11-14, 2005 - 4 days in a very nice room  (Oct 10 is Canadian Thanksgiving)

(3) Oct  3 - 7, 2005 - 5 days in a rather mediocre room (long and narrow. poor acoustics)

We have temporarily reserved the facilities for all three options, but must release those we do not require by the end of April.

Assuming no better offer is presented, we ask that National Bodies be prepared to choose one of the above options at the Berlin meeting of WG2.

Consideration should be given to the ballots expected to be issued out of the Berlin meeting, and whether the earliest date would give sufficient time for editors to prepare the documents for ballot in time for the ballots to close before the meeting. CD ballots would have to be issued by June 25^th, and FCD ballots by May 25^th.
